Satinsilver had asked for some shots of wear after 6 years.

I purchased used in 5/03 with 27K on odo and the 02 has never left me stranded:yes:.

Here they are.

Enjoy!

Interior shot.. as you can see I have installed a Wheel Skin due to dye on steering wheel wearing off. It started that about 100K.

The cruise button shows wear as well as the heel mark in the drivers floor mat.

And here is a shot of the most common wear item after steering wheel.

Drivers seat side bolster.

But this is an overall shot of drivers seat. Not to bad after all those miles:thmsup:

Once again THE MASTER shows how to take car of a car. Is the steering wheel cover the leather one from Honda?

Wheelskins also makes the OEM accessory steering wheel covers, the only difference is that there isn't stitch holes at the spokes.

I am guessing that was one of the most babied cars on the forum! I love how the engine bay is still clean after almost 187,000 miles!

I wonder if those last pictures were bittersweet at all?

Thank you for the update. Wow, great pictures Inspector! Very impressive results. I would eat my lunch off of your engine its so clean. Your hard work on upkeep has paid off.

My aunt lives in your city and has an 02 gold Accord with only 30k on it. The paint is very dull. Her car looks like it has 200k on it and yours looks like it has less than 30k. Your new baby is in GREAT hands!

Would the other mod's please review the background of Inspector1. Obviously he is masquerading an old pic of a new vehicle now with just under 200k of miles. We simply can't stand for this type of hoax around here!

So how much are you going to let the gem go for I1? I know it will never equal the labor of love provided...

Engine shot.

Wow... that engine bay looks brand new!

How often did you clean the engine? Did you do it yourself?

Check out this thread..http://www.driveaccord.net/forums/showthread.php?t=784 I removed some of the pictures several years ago... but the first one is the 1st real posted beauty shot.

Sprayed it down every couple months and 303'd about every 6 months.

And yes it was all done by myself. Now I have 2 dark vehicles to maintain for at least the next 5-6 years. Both of the new vehicles will probably stay in the family until the wheels fall off. I have a 14 & 12 year old so if their good maybe I might let them drive mine..:lmao:

Really awesome demonstration of what consistent care can do. Good luck on the sale.

Is the steering wheel cover aftermarket or Honda?

I thought I took good care of my cars... That car is immacculate aside from the few worn areas you pointed out. You could probably put that car back on the lot in 2002 and noone would know the difference. Good job.

Wow, there is hope for us 6thGen owners hoping to get more life out of our auto trans. What else have you had to replace other than routine maint? Good luck with the sale. FWIW a coworker recently sold her clean 01/V6/EX-L/110K miles for $8K.

I had mine flushed at 65K, but it's very brutal in the morning when it's cold (harsh harsh harsh). Worries me a lot.

Just a set of front rotors at 175K. Had a pulsation on hiway exit ramps.

So not a single thing failed?

No sensors? CV Boots? Radiator? Starter?

Highway miles are so much nicer to a car. My 96 Accord has had over $3,000 in repairs since 16 miles. With 120k now, I'll admit I'm a bit scared.:paranoid:

Well the 02 is on the road again. No real snow just salt:thumbsdow:thumbsdow.
The alternator is getting noisy so I think it will need to be changed ;).
Might even throw a new belt on it>:D

The Mrs. had been managing 17-19 MPG. Had me concerned about new plugs. Checked today @ 23.7 MPG(Not all my miles;) ).

My seat looks so much worse than yours and I've only got 132k!

The tan on my wheel has worn though, time for a wheelskins cover.

I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a new drivers seat.

Does your rock a little? I'm wondering if Honda will still fix mine or not, there are a few bulltins about the power seats rocking... :dunno:

Not EVEN a fair comparison but our 3.5L Rav4 (now@ 2100 miles total in 1 year) is running 20 MPG in town with Mustang Sally behind the wheel, she LOVES to wax Mustang GT's and really embarasses them . They are quicker but if you snooze you lose at the light!
They rev & rumble she pops it off the light.....bye bye Mustang! God I love this gal!

Mine rocks a little front to back. The TSB is for the rear side bushings that will allow the seat to rock side to side. I have inspected mine closely and found the play is in the frame cross shaft. Would require disassemble and shim and/or weld a collar on shaft.

I had talked about it due to the cut installed by lot tech on drivers seat when I purchased.
My leather repair guy said leave it alone and it would not change. The products they use will not hold up over time. I just dealt with it and it has not changed... See image.....
