It is a concept car remember. I think if they go through with the 200 HP they may have to upgrade the horsepower on the 4 cyl. Accord. The looks are killer.

yeah, concept car, but it still looks alot nicer than the shots of the european one that were floating around before!

i hope most of it sticks!

the 200 hp in the si shouldn't be much of an issue i wouldn't think.... they just have to be careful with what they put in the other civic models....

i know i won't be buying an si anytime soon even though so far it sounds great! i can only imagine the insurance costs on it with all that power and a 6spd mt! :D

i'm checking out more pics of it... that car grew on me *almost* as quick as the 7th gen accord coupe! :)

i know it won't be as refined as the accord, but it may warrant a test drive for fun when they hit the dealerships! ;)

Hi Anysia:

___Were you at the unveiling yesterday? I was somewhat disappointed although I was warned ahead of time that Honda is extremely tight lipped and that proved to be very true. The Si as shown will be ~ 90% of the final but nothing new was really said other then a i-VTEC and 200 HP from its 2L. I was under whelmed to say the least but I am interested in Diesel’s, Hybrid’s, and FE, not sports car variants …

___Good Luck

i'm still sure that they will tone down the styling a bit......i think that is how the 7th gen accord should have looked....

I don't like it. Honda has been going in this directions of podgy styling on their cars and trucks, what with the new Accord (rear), new Civic (concept pics, concept Si, current Si hatch), Ridgeline, etc. I don't like the trend really and I prefer the old 92-95 Civics, especially the coupes and hatches. If Honda could go back to those days of more low slung cars, I think it'd appeal to the youngins more.

given the concept pics for the accord coupe before it was released officially, i think the basics of the styling will hold true for the civic si. it will loose alot of the "fluff" though.

benji-yep i loved the 92-95 civic, that was actually where my infatuation with honda started! :)

but i'm also really liking the general look of this new one too!

can i get a civic si (hopefully with the 6 spd!) for fun driving and trade my accord for an automatic accord coupe for the more humdrum day to day driving?? ;) if only i could afford 2 cars! :lmao:

the civic's i've had have always been quite a bit more tossable and easier to maneuver on the road than the accord is. for me ALOT has to do with the size of the car and visibility though, not the suspension set ups/sway bars and what not... (still not so big on mods....)
