View Full Version : How Many Here Own a Accord Coupe LX-S? got pics?
Athlete218 07-11-2008, 05:10 PM are you happy w/ the decision to go w/ the LX-s?
I just placed an order for a 2009 Crystal Black Pearl LX-s 5speed....I debated between that, an ex & ex-l, but decided that I would rather do w/o the moonroof & i prefer the lx-s seats to the ex basketball mesh looking seats & the ex-l would've been real nice, but i decided that i'd rather pay signifigantly less & have cloth seats and a few less features.
so, anyways.. are you happy w/ your choice for the lx-s? why or why not?
any pics? i hardly ever see pictures of the lx-s model on here..it's almost always the ex-l v6.
nighthawkcoupe 07-11-2008, 07:18 PM so is crystal black officially replacing nighthawk next year?

yes:

nighthawkcoupe 07-11-2008, 07:30 PM Well I personally own an EX. I had wanted the LX-S at first to save some money, but I felt that all the extras that come with an EX were well worth the money. The moonroof is probably the biggest change between the two models. I would say if you can live without that and actually like the LX-S seats better, go for it.
As a side-note, looks like all us NBP owners have a one-of-a-kind color for this car now!
AznX TL 07-11-2008, 07:33 PM i have an lx-s, i've thought about getting an EX, but for $1300 more ill pass, the sunroof and power seat wasn't enough to cut the cost for me.
and heres the link to my pics http://www.driveaccord.net/forums/showthread.php?t=19732
nighthawkcoupe 07-11-2008, 07:44 PM EX actually doesn't have a power seat.
Viper897 07-11-2008, 07:48 PM Ive got the LX-S, its all i could afford, the only thing i wish it had was both windows were auto up and down and that it had the option to have the V6 wheels, other than that im very happy with my decision.
85gp4 07-11-2008, 07:54 PM Here's my LX-S
I love everything about it... I live in Texas and it's too hot for a sunroof anyways.
All I've done thus far is tint and install a sub/amp.

AznX TL 07-11-2008, 08:02 PM EX actually doesn't have a power seat.
:jawdrop:im sooo glad i didnt get EX then.
nighthawkcoupe 07-11-2008, 08:12 PM Well, besides the moonroof, the EX comes with better fabric, auto up/down on both windows, premium audio, height adjustment for driver's seat, security system, ventilated brakes up front, lighted steering wheel controls, heated mirrors, and "blue ambient console lighting." It's a lot of little features, but they add up to a much nicer package IMHO.

my lx-s has the bolded ones.
nighthawkcoupe 07-11-2008, 08:22 PM Then Honda's website is deceiving as it doesn't list these features for the LX-S but does for the EX.
ryan mcgrogan 07-11-2008, 08:50 PM i have an lx-s and am happy with it.
heres my pic that everyone seems to like, must be the tinted windows.

my HIDs are getting installed tomorrow and i just bought 18" 6 spoke wheels
nighthawkcoupe 07-11-2008, 08:55 PM SIGH.. just when I finally forgot about that pic
kazooie16 07-11-2008, 11:23 PM i have an LX-S, just got it tinted and installed HID, ill get the Eibach Pro Kit installed tomorrow...
will try to post pic after that....or should i wait til i get my rims?
Athlete218 07-12-2008, 02:25 AM Well, besides the moonroof, the EX comes with better fabric, auto up/down on both windows, premium audio, height adjustment for driver's seat, security system, ventilated brakes up front, lighted steering wheel controls, heated mirrors, and "blue ambient console lighting." better fabric? i personally think the lx-s fabric is nicer....the ex fabric is like the si fabric & holds every little thing (dust, dog hair, lint, etc..) & it looks like basketball mesh to me. i have it in my current si & it's a pain imo.
auto-up-down woulda been nice
premium audio... i think i'm just goin to add a infinity basslink (heard those are pretty good w/ factory systems).
height adj. - lx-s has this (at least the one i test drove... I'm 6'2", so i dont really need it but i still prefer to push it all the way up.
steering wheel controls the lx-s has as well
heated mirrors might be nice in the winter... never had them on a car though.
blue lighting... meh
i did this a while ago, this does not include the different seats though, this is taken off their specifications page on honda.com
whatever you do, dont get an ex-l lol, i did and now i regret getting navi or v6

Mr.accord 07-12-2008, 04:40 AM besides the moonroof which I would consider it being the deal breaker for most, the LX-s turns out to be a better value in the long run.
now I own the lx-s and I like all the other models, but since I am always upgrading I though it would have been a waste to get the ex or the exl since I would end up changing the radio, rims, etc,.you get the picture.
the only thing is the lx-s are not easy to find, especially the 5 speed.. so good luck.
ryan mcgrogan 07-12-2008, 07:54 AM the only thing i dont like about the lx-s is the wheels, but those are obviously replaceable

aren't the wheels the EXACT same as the EX?
& yes, i think any of the accord coupes are tough to find in manual transmission...i have only seen 2 on dealer lots.
1 a EX-L Polished Metal w/ ivory int.
the other
and LX-S Polished Metal.
ryan mcgrogan 07-12-2008, 09:02 AM oh whoops haha nevermind
rwlib3 07-12-2008, 10:10 AM I own an NHBP LX-S...love it. I could have waited for the 5sp, but a month was a little long to wait...
All in all, I love the car...the leather would be nice, but a kit from Katskin will be just as good as oem, and add a custom touch. Little upgrades like the leather steering wheel and Inspire AT shifter will add a nice touch to a great interior.
Going aftermarket for the stereo is a must for NAV, Bluetooth, etc... the stock speakers are ok, they just need more power to them IMHO.

my lx-s has a lever where you lift to go up and push down to go down, it also has audio-cruise control illuminated wheel controls. and it also has a security system, i have 2 blinking red lights at night.
ShortBus 07-12-2008, 06:16 PM Anyone got a pic of this 'EX * Blue Ambient Console Lighting' ?
I'd like to see the difference at night.
AznX TL 07-12-2008, 07:08 PM i've seen it in person, its blue instead of the tealish color the lx-s has.

so the lx-s has a teal courtesy light? blue or teal...doesn't matter, but it seems like the ex & lx-s are closer matched than I thought...kinda glad i went w/ the Lx-s (not b/c of the courtesy light) b/c it seems like the only main thing im missing out on is the moonroof.

not the courtesy light, the console buttons.

We're talking about the lighting behind the gauges and all the buttons here right? I know they have a dealer added ambient light for the foot wells, but I'm referring to the gauges.

behind the gauges? the ex-l i test drove had white gauge lights like the lx-s. but the buttons on the radio and buttons around that area were a blue.
Athlete218 07-14-2008, 10:08 AM can anyone post Interior pics of their lx-s? particularly night pics. day would work too.
ryan mcgrogan 07-14-2008, 10:23 AM test
drive
it
nighthawkcoupe 07-14-2008, 10:41 AM "ambient console lighting" is the pinhole light next to the glasses holder.
My EX has white gauges, white lit radio buttons, and green lit A/C controls. As far as I know, there are no blue lights in the EX besides that pinhole light.
