well had my first road trip with the new car....well actually a moving trip...moved from san antonio back home to new orleans...and well i was excited about the numbers....total trip was 550 miles and boy was i excited when my gas light didnt come on until i had about 8 miles left ...on my usual commute it comes on around 440 miles...mpg for the trip was 32.7 ...used cruise about half the time due to retarded drivers everywhere....stayed around 75 most of the time and at the end i said fawk it and went about 90 for the last hour so im sure that didnt help me at all...but i was very pleased with the results seeing that in my toyota tacoma i had before the car i had to fill up about half way on the same trip

How many miles do you currently have on your motor?

Must be a national affliction (similar behavioral issues on the left coast too).

The 8th gen must have a very large tank.
I got 35.5 mpg on my last 510 mile trip down I-10 and I have yet to get passed 455 miles on one tank. My tank is 16 gallons.

While I dont have an I4, my V6 netted me 25.7 MPG on my last 580 mile trip. I am very happy with those numbers considering that I have a manual V6 and only have 1200 miles on the car plus i drove the entire way with the AC on. I'm hoping as the car breaks in I'll be getting somewhere between 28-29 MPG hwy.

My Accord only holds slightly over 12 gallons (UK) ...
Last check, all local trips -- 183 miles -- fuel used 45.03 litres. = 18.47 MPG or -- 15-29 litres per 100 KL.. :paranoid: Cost of fuel at that fill up was £51.75 approx 103.5$ ouch! (petrol now @ £1.20 a litre)
But.. in the cars defence, I live in hilly terrain, no straight roads, in the town there are lights every 100yds or so, sometimes they have to let 3 lots through before I get my turn.. The real problem is, England is too small for our towns-cities to cope with all the traffic we have here now. :dunno: Rural areas are not to bad..

James, you get the same gas mileage as I do on my gasoline Accords in the city. It's pretty pitiful.
Civics are loads better on city driving. Sometimes I wish instead of two Accords I had an Accord and Civic. But here in the states, the added cost of insurance on the Civic nearly nixes the gas gains. If I drive my C240 on an all city tank, I won't see anything more than this.
