Tein and Tanabe I know are being developed now but you can bet that others will follow shortly. The Tein SS's should hopefully be out by the end of the year.

Yo! I knew your username looked familiar haha. Nah a buddy of mine has one. I'm just trying to get some info on mods for him. I almost traded in my car on one but I decided to keep it

Ksport coils (http://www.ksportusa.com/asp/coilovers_detail.asp?product_id=cd01) can be purchased from one of many dealers (http://www.ksportusa.com/asp/dealer.asp).

yea, ksports closest dealer to us in MD, would be in VA. Damn 6 hr drive is nuts. I emailed a couple of ksport dealers on ebay. Hopefully then can get them in.

How reliable is ksports working under very cold condition? I heard some of brand like D2 don't work very good in cold condition.

sorry im kind of a newbie at cars
but what is the difference btwn coilovers and the springs eibach sells?

Coilovers are fully adjustable suspension where as (springs), are just what they are. Coilovers are the shock and spring. You can adjust your ride height with coilovers ussually between 0-4 inches. So you get the perfect stance your looking for. Some even have dampening controls which allow you to stiffen or soften your ride quality. Also, if you just get springs you always have the possibility of blowing out your factory struts, especialy when going lower than 1.5 inches of drop. With suspension i say buy nice, dont buy twice. Just my opinion.

i mean, this guy just said "buy nice dont buy twice." I say buy now, cuz your car is hummer status fool

but yea, coilovers are alot more convienient to the average tuner, b/c of the adjustable ride height, and being mated with a shock all in one assembly. So when replacing its a complete swap.

And no matter how you much you pay for coilovers, you can only have one of these without sacrificing the other:

Big drop
Smooth ride
Performance handling

It's winter now, so I will wait for Tein to come. I heard both D2 and ksport suspension are not as reliable as Tein. Specially we have a lot of salt here during the winter. I heard by putting "Rust Check Coat & Protect" will help protecting the coilover. Those that didn't put anything to protect the coilover during the winter here at Toronto will find out that during summer their coilover will be rusting and can't tune their coilover anymore.

hmm...i say get the greddy ti-c now, and see if you can get the wheels/tires for your bday/xmas gift:thmsup:

then wait for the teins to come out

I just found some guy from Salinas, CA put some Ground Control adjustable collars on his stock struts with Eibach springs. The setup was based on a 98 accord. Ground Control is well known and they have great products. I might go that route for $400.

the problem with that setup is your still riding on stock shocks with a BIG coilover drop. The stock struts can only handle so much abuse before they blow. Your better off going with a real coilover kit that comes with high performance shocks.

What happens when a stock strut blows? How much does the car bounce around?

I agree jblaust. The reason I want the Ground Control setup is because I don't want 1" drop like most common kits offer. I just want something between .5" to .75" of a drop. I load up my car with family so ground clearance and retaining some comfort is essential. Plus, when the family gets in, the car drops another 1". :D

I just paid $884 shipped for my ksport coilovers of of ebay. The reviews I read were better for Ksport than D2. Neither one of them seem too bad though, especially under normal easy driving conditions.

the 1 inch drop is very subtle to begin with from eibach or HFP. Its not worth the money if you dont want to drop the car at least an inch. Based on what you just typed, I would go with the HFP kit keep it all Honda and call it a day. The ride is not bad at all its under warranty and its a nice look.
