i think ebay has some, looks like they are held on by double-sided tape.

my friend knows a parts dude at a honda dealership,so he was able to order it as if it was for a V6 that was in an accident and needed to replace it. Otherwise i couldnt find an OEM lip spoiler anywhere

Hey man, i'm less worried about the weather vs. the strength of the install...
any chance this thing is coming off if u or some other dude closes/lift your trunk by the spoiler (unintentionally of course)....
also, any chance the two ends will start to fray over time and roll up? or is the plastic solid?

thanks for your input!

i open and close the trunk with the spoiler everyday ...it doesnt move at all...only way its coming off is if i want to ...and even then it will be a pain in the butt imo.....and its pretty solid no chance of it fraying or anything like that

Yea I got that same spoiler from the same seller. I've had since march. It sticks with vhb tape or you can also drill holes in the trunk and attach it that way. Once you use that tape, its on there for good. Unless you heat it up. Here's my Accord.

I just got mine from this seller this morning... its going on tonight!

The EX-L OEM version requires the EX-L trunk lid as the female end of the clips are drilled into the trunk... went thru it with the parts guy.

Best bet is the Ebay version....

Where did you guys place the 3m tape? Along the soft rubbery edges?

yes, that's the only place where it contacts the trunk lid

u have to remove the soft rubbery edges ...if u put the tape over it there will be a gap between the spoiler and truck lid

I got one about a month ago & have taken it off & put it back on with the 3m tape around 3 times because of the heat. (was getting loose)...Bought some silicone glue & am planning on filling in some of those empty areas on the inside of the spoiler with the glue to get some more surface area to add the tape to. Will see how that works.

i'd check with your dealer before doing that...even though it seems as if it wouldn't be a problem, your giving the car an upgrade, but technically the dealer owns the car and they might not want it on the car when you turn it in. (unless you plan on buying after lease)
