Um yeah, so I decided to get rear ended on the way home today. Stopped at a light, turns green, 2 cars in front of me havent moved yet, but the turn lane next to me did and the guy behind me was fumbling with his phone and saw that and went and hit me. Guy turns out to be a Chaplain on base with me and was VERY remorseful and took full blame. Good thing is we have USAA.

Trunk opens, but rubs and you have to really slam it to close. Enterprise already called me and I get a rental tomorrow. They were surprised how fast USAA set me up with a car.

Ehhh', that'll buff out! :D

On a more serious note... glad to hear no one was injured AND the other driver was properly insured!

Two things - first, make sure they replace the trunk lid and the bumper - repairing the trunk lid won't get that straight enough. Second, there's unibody damage at the trunk opening area - make sure they factor all of that in with the damage (you can see the buckle along the trunk seal near the bumper).

Just had the LR door replaced on the '05 LX - actually door skin - turns out new Honda door skins are glued not welded - fit up perfectly - have to take some pictures of the end-result - looks good as new.

If there's anyone who would have insurance and be honest, I'm glad it was the base Chaplain.

I'm also glad USAA is treating you so well. I hear so many good things, but I'm thankful I've never had the experience on a personal level.

Hate to hear the news fellow Parrothead. Glad all are okay, though.

Andy pointed out about the unibody/trunk well already. It looks as though the rear quarter panels faired well as the bumper covers flared out as intended. But I would check these rear sections carefully. And make sure that new paint matches up!

USAA always treated us well in the past. You should not have any issues. Good luck...drive that rental like a...rental.
