I want to drain & refill the radiator on my 1996 Accord Ex 4 dr. sedan
Draining the old coolant is obviously through the drain-bolt at the bottom center of the radiator.
The instructions on the Honda brand coolant container state:
"loosen the air bleed bolt, then fill the radiator to the neck with coolant. Tighten the bleed bolt as soon as the coolant starts to run out in a steady stream...."
my question is: where is the air bleed bolt located?
Thanks!

The air bleed bolt on that car is by the upper hose where it connects to the block I believe.
It should be in the owners manual under maintenance... if it is not I will go into the hot sun and look at my car for you.
If you only have one gallon you will need 2. FYI.

Correction, where the upper part of the lower hose connects to the block on the left side.

Well, i went a-huntin', and found it! loosened the sucker up, and got the job done.
Using one of the immortal quotations from Apollo X111- "you sir, are a steely-eyed rocket-man" (in this case, a steely-eyed Accord specialist"
Thanks!
now i'll be looking for the same little do-hickey on my '06 Accord and my son's '05 Civic.

The coolant in your 06 Accord is good for 7 years/120k miles. It's really not necessary to change it now.
Nevertheless, like the 1996, it will be in the owners manual.

I would like someone to test the acidity level even after 5 years. I doubt coolant can last that long no matter what additives they add to it.
