I just purchased my '06 V6 Sedan w/ 6-Speed and noticed that the shift into 3rd gear is kind of clunky compared to the others. It almost makes a different sound than the other gears and seems to not fall into place quite as easily. Have any of you guys with 6-speeds witnessed the same thing with yours? Is there some sort of linkage adjustment that could improve this?
Thanks so much,
Wes

Welcome. This is a very common problem. I don't want to be rude to a new member but perhaps you should use search. I can appreciate that sometimes it's difficult to find the right search term. Here's just one of the threads that discusses the issue. There are a # of others you might want to investigate. There's a wealth of information on this forum. I know I have benefited from reading the information available here and I hope you will be able to say the same. A 6 speed sedan or coupe is a wonderful car and I'm sure you'll enjoy it greatly, especially after adjusting some of it's minor quirks.

I apologize for not finding the topic but on the other forums I belong to I typically use the built in google search (maybe this one has one but I didn't see it). I'll try to brush up on my search skills using the regular forum search.
I can honestly say that I am loving my car and have absolutely no regrets in purchasing it. I just sold my 2006 Jetta TDI w/ DSG due to the insane market and the quality of this Accord is much better hands down. The 6-speed DSG in the Jetta was an amazing transmission but I missed being able to row my own gears and I was also getting tired of making repair trips to the dealer.
Thanks so much,
Wes

I bought my 06 6-speed sedan in February and I noticed the 3rd gear problem right away. I got the 3rd gear synchronizer replaced under the Honda Service Bulletin that addresses this problem about 6-8 weeks ago and have had no issues since then. I have put around 2,000 miles on it and have not had a pop-out or balky shift. If you have confidence in the Honda dealer techs who will do the work, I would recommend this.

I was at my local dealer yesterday to have my battery replaced and mentioned this TSB to them. They actually completed their first fix for that issue early this week so I think I'll wait a little bit longer (my Accord only has 32K right now) until they get a few more under their belt.
Thanks,
Wes
