Just had the 60,000 mile service done.

What are other folks paying?

Here's what it cost me:

Labor..........$226.67
Parts...........$159.28
Misc*............$21.00
Less 10%....($38.60)
Tax...............$37.65
Total...........$406.00

*Misc:
OLF Shop Supplies - $3.00
Shop Supplies - 18.00

P.S. I tried to search for this topic, but kept getting bounced w/ the term "60,000mi" and "60000" didn't bring a relevant post.

It sounds about adverage to me...

That's about what I see on the ads we get from several local dealers, for their "specials".

The real question is what did they actually wind up doing?

Assuming it's the Accord....here's the list of what's supposed to be done/when:

Local dealer is charging $391 plus tax.

My dealer charges $370, less 10% coupon if you have one = $333 + tax = $353

Most also have those "hidden" fees.... oil disposal, cleaning agents, whatever... misc. that come to an additional 20 bucks or so. We used to charge 350, which had 50% of the labor of the local dealers. This was 3+ years ago. So the 400 range sounds pretty normal.

princess,

does your maintenance checklist apply for only 99 or could it be used for a 2000 EX as well. Id like a copy of that.

The receipt shows it as a "60,000 mile service." I was under the impression that the 60,000mi service always included the same items.

The receipt does list many specific items, but all are abbreviated and most are difficult to make out (for my untrained eye). However, what Princess listed about matches what the Service Manager told me. He specifically mentioned that they adjusted the valves.

Anyway, I was just curious about what others are paying. I really don't have any complaints, I'm just curious. Thanks to all for the information.

P.S. Thanks for the pdf file, Princess. Good stuff! I'm going to print it out and put it with the Accord's records.

For others, I've started a thread with the maintaince lists for various years. I'll continue to add to it, but I'm out of time for this morning.

Coil, I'm glad you are happy with the job done. I think the price is pretty normal. They vary a bit according to what each place charges for a labor rate, what the state charges to get rid of the old fluids, & if some inspected was in need of replacement when just an inspection was on the schedule. PLUS those mysterious misc. things....:)

Enjoy your car!!:D

You can also get the maintenance schedule from the owner's manual that you can download from Honda Ownerlink's website (http://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/prod_home.asp) . I'm not for sure if it would be year specific though. It may just be the general schedule that is in your owner's manual.
