got lots of snow yesterday. i had to roll down my window to swipe my card to leave the parking lot. some snow got in on my door and apparently i didn't manage to brush it all back out before it melted a little.

i guess some got down inside of my lock and froze overnight.

this morning i went outside to warm my car up and couldn't get in! the doors seemed to be frozen shut! :eek:

the lock on the driver's side had frozen (the INSIDE lock, not the keyhole!) when i was pushing the unlocl button, it wasn't unlocking the doors because the driver's side was frozen! i guess it couldn't bypass that and still unlock the passenger side!!

i tried using my key, no luck. and no key hole on the passenger side to manually get in that way....

SOOOO.....

i opened the trunk, pushed down the seats, climbed into, yes into the trunk, tried opening the drivers door to no avail, so opened the passenger's side door! :eek:

climbed back out of the trunk-couldn't figure out how to get out thu the passenger side from the awkward position i was in!

climbed into the passneger side and again tried the driver's door. still no luck! had to climb over the console and start the car and wait a few minutes for the lock to thaw so i could actually open the door. :rolleyes:

they should REALLY put keyholes on more doors!!!

my car is soaked inside now and so was i when i got to work! :rolleyes:

thankfully for now it is shining!!! hopefully that will dry it out and keep it from refreezing while i'm at work!! :rolleyes:

but the good news is i now know i fit in my trunk too!

wonder if anyone drove past while i was climbing in? i can just see the looks on people's faces.....

That is hilarious! I'm sure it was sorta aggravating at the time, but it's not like anything was broken or anything bad had happened. Thanks for telling us about that!

I wonder if even though the lock didn't unlock if the windows would've rolled down.....

nope, the windows wouldn't roll down via the key atleast... i tried quite a few times.... :( it would've been easier and not as funny if they had rolled down! :blah:
