I have a question for fellow Gen 8 owners who got their cars in the last 60-90 days. The Ontario Honda Dealers were sponsoring a promotion in which they were giving away a $1000 gas card with Accords. My dealer told me that Honda Canada would mail it out. Well 45 days later still no card, so I call Honda Canada and they tell me the dealer should have given it to me at delivery. I can't reach my sales consultant today.

My question to my fellow Accord owners is how and when did you get your gas cards??

I took cash in lieu of the gas card, and had the $1,000 applied to the down payment right at the dealership.

I spent about 2 hours at my dealer today, I wasn't leaving until I got a cheque for $1K.

This in my first new "imported" car and it appears the dealerships don't operate any differently than the "domestics".

wow your salesman prob try to pull a quick one... post him up!

the 1000$ 'gas card' is a shared incentive .. honda pays 500 dealer pays 500.. it's just a negotiation tool and knocks the $1K total off the car.
