Supposedly we had a tornado according to the news about 3 weeks ago. I meant to post these earlier, but as you can imagine ive been cutting up trees, helping my dad out and all. But here are some pictures I snapped the day of the 'tornado'.

Yah, everyone is thankfully alright. The house sustained the least amount of damage, but the garage wasnt so lucky. I just got my car back from the collision center, so its good now, Progressive covered the $3000 bill. Never thought I'd see a 'tornado' up in these parts, but we've had hurricains before, though they definately didn't knock any trees down like this.

So the tornado actually was pretty significant, but from what I read it only existed in NH, pretty close to the ME border. There was a lot of residual straight-line wind damage in other places - so it's hard to tell whether ME got the tornado itself. But in NH, the tornado stayed on the ground for almost 90 minutes and did a zig-zag pattern from south to north for 50 miles - amazing long for any tornado, let alone anything in this part of the country where they're as scarce as hen's teeth. One woman died as she protected her young grandchild, as the house collapsed around her. Very sad.
So the technical details is the mess you're cleaning up could have come from wind-sheer based straight-line damage - or potentially a tornado - but at the end of the day, it's still a mess. :thumbsdow Glad to hear everyone is OK!!!
