I have a 2002 Honda Accord SE 4 litre. The car has been driven 65KM since new and has never had a tune up. The problem is when I come to a rolling stop (2 or 3 mph) then accelerate, the car hesitates before accelerating smoothly. However, if I come to a complete stop then accelerate there is no hesitation. Could this be a fuel filter problem?

I have also heard(after buying the car) the Accords produced in 2002 might have a tranny problem??

Dirty throttle body would be the first thing to to check. Clean it up. Next would be a clogged EGR.... Both are on here already.

Doesn't sound at all like a tranny issue. Most of the trannys have been ones on the V6s.

Oops! Actually it's a 2.4L, but that shouldn't make a difference I hope. Thank you princess for the answer!

I had the exact same problem when I was using some inferior gasoline. Try some "top tier" fuel like Shell etc. Maybe even run some of the Shell v-power stuff. It completely solved my problem.
