I have a check engine light that codes say need EGR attention. Should I replace the EGR or is there a fix to this problem? Has any body done this? I looks like you have to take off some stuff. Thank for your help.

Hondaddy 08-11-2008, 05:59 PM it could be port under the egr valve is blocked or it could be blocked where that port ends up at the throttle body and intake manifold. there are three bolts, and two nuts holding the throttle body to the intake, and the gasket is metal, so if your careful, you may not have to replace the gasket. tip. if you take the throttle body off. put the back left bolt in first when you go to put it back on, then all the others. i just did mine today, and the area under the throttle body was totally blocked. good luck. tonysaccord 08-14-2008, 05:53 AM Thanks Hondaddy. I will attempt it today. I am trying to save some bucks.:) |
