Can someone post a DIY on how to remove the intake resonator (silencer) step my step?...or at least give me some heads up, i know it takes about a half hour to do according to most people (w/out beer breaks lol.) So if someone could take 5mins out and help me out ill appreciate it! Pics are even better.
also is this "mod" worth doing?

You can get the same effect if you take the 4 screw out of the top of your intake box and slide the top out of the way. Then take the box itself out its only held in by rubber bushings. There is a rubber coupling that connects the resonator to the box. Remove this coupling. It only takes about 5 min to do this and if you ever need to go in for service its very simple to pop the coupling back in. As far as worth you only really get a lil more noise out of the car its nothing close to a real air intake but it only takes a few min to do. Performance wise I dont think it does a thing.

Noticed you have the 6MT too (with variable intake length, or some crap like that), so could you take a picture to know what you're talking about? Curious. Thx.

Performance wise...no gain....but it may sound better!

I believe the intake manifolds' runners vary in diameter so what he is talking about would after this so no difference between this and the auto v6...pics are cool anyways though!

So wat gets removed and what goes back? im guessing you put the box and the sliding top back? and just remove the rubber coupling
