This one was traded in for the '03 Accord. I had zero complaints, except for the lack of bells & whistles. We seem to never like the Honda speakers & put Infinitys in her the first week. also added foglights, spoiler & rear tinting. She only had 10,600 miles with 2 years (22 months) of driving & still had that "new car" smell. She never did a "work commute"... her miles were put primarily from trips to SoCal.
Not bad, but I must say that your '03 is much more stylish!

there are a few things nicer in the '02: the headliner material wasn't so cheap as the '03, the visors had a little slide out for when the sun was right in the middle, her leather was softer, her backseat's middle armrest had a tray, her floor mats (stock) said "accord", little interior details.... but the '03 has a sportier ride, better control, smoother lines, more HP, & I fell in love with that Eternal Blue!

Thanks. I really liked her! I just REALLY wanted the Navi system, so we traded her in. She was lower maintaince, the lighter colors are soooo much easier! Someone got a great car! She wasn't at Concord Honda very long! Low miles & the spoiler, tint & fog lights..... sigh......

Yes those 6th gen Honda's go fast .....
Navi systems are nice but I have found that they are limited to the data available to system..... Just like mapping on Mapblast, Msn and so on. I use mapping systems daily and find that new streets sometimes up to 2 years old are not on any mapping systems and some directions given are incorrect...... Note disclaimer at bottom of every map I check online..... call to verify directions..... Wow if I wanted to do that I wouldn't be using mapping!! Duh.
But I do like the 7th Gen cars their still Honda's .
Has Honda said anything about when they would update software for their Nav Systems... Annually ,Bi-Annually??
How much $ or is that free..
I think that Nav systems are for the General Public looking for that Chinese restaurant or on vacation not for people doing routing or multiple travel locations for business... UPS/FED-x
Their all Gps based... IE onstar*
I still think you have to have a little of your own common sense about directions.....
Could you imagine explaining to Officer "My cars Nav System said too turn right , the wrong way on this one way street and I didn't want to hit those people head-on and kill them......"
In court with Honda being sued for vehicular homicide!!!
My 2 cents....

In general you're quite right about the Navi systems being limited. The Pilot is getting a new DVD as soon as they're released....anytime now. It will be about 160-185 dollars. We use the system a lot for things more like.... Stuck in traffic in LA & need to go pee.... we can get off where ever we want & the Hondas will get us back on the freeway from anywhere. Our little hand held Garmin couldn't do that.
It's also be extremely helpful for detours from construction!
The Honda's systems are upgraded a few years apart. The Pilot's is from '01 software. The Accord's is newer & much nicer. With both you can find places to eat, spend money, etc. They have helped when visiting a new area. They will get you where you need to go, just not always the BEST way. They seem to be aware of oneway street, no left turn & no u-turn spots. I do argue with them sometimes about the way they choose verses the way I prefer. You can change it to suit your needs by telling it go pass a certain spot, town, intersection... We're hoping the new software for the Pilot has a better search feature. The Accord's is great!
There is an area on our way to our daughter's that is a new bypass & both systems think we're in a feild, so they leave "bread crumbs". :)
So far neither has ever been lost in our travels!!:D
I think part of it would also depend on whether or not you live/travel in a metro area. The whole bay area is pretty well mapped, & most of our travels are to SoCal. We have gone to the "sticks" in NV & it still managed to get us right to the house we were headed for!! That's an area that most cell phones don't even work at! I was impressed!

That does sound like it's very nice......
It's a real male ego helper .... not having to stop for directions..ha
They have come a long way with the systems in vehicles today and its wonderful that they make this technology available to the public.. for the casual every day driver and traveler. I still don't believe the system would work for me in the area's I cover.... Rural Southern Ohio and Kentucky ... turn left at the oak tree with red paint on it.. ha and when it comes to the city after traveling for several years you know all the short cuts and what time of day to use which ones. No DVD based system could help me out there.
I guess I am old fashioned in that way......

It took me a while to get used to the idea, I was the family navigator!! I was very insulted the first time he mentioned the idea! I've grown to really have fun with it now.
But you're right, it won't know which tree has the red paint on it!!:D

I'm not sure about you but my friend's 02 LX I4's floormats were 100 bucks give or take a few. Might have been a dealer gift or something. Even the floormats in my mom's 00 ML320 were $84.

They came with the car. I thought all the EXV6's did. There's always been a few little extras with the EX, & a bit more with the V6.
I was disappointed that the '03 has plain mats. I haven't looked for others yet though.
The Pilot says Pilot & the '02 Accord said Accord. I want the '03 to say Accord too, but it's not been on the top of the list....

We recieved the new DVD for the Pilot & they changed her voice! It's deeper, more like the Accord's. (Although if I want to I could use a male voice in the Accord & there's still no choice in the Pilot.) There's more updates with the streets & a better search system now. He was happy other than he had to find his "password" & didn't have a clue what the default one was. I found that much funnier than he did! It's all set now. :D
