A few questions for a newbie looking at upgrading rims.
Anyone with 19's, what size tires do you have?
The two best sizes I've seen, using various sites including this one are 245/40/19 & 245/35/19. I'm leaning towards the 245/40/19 because I don't want such a low profile tire and it is closer to stock. However it seems the speedometer is thrown of more and one web site said it was too much of a difference. This leads to my other questions:
Anyone with 19's get speedo & odo calibrated?
If yes, how much? Does this void the warranty?
If no, why not? Doesn't the lack of calibration shorten actual miles on warranty?
Alot of questions to answer, but just looking to make a real informed decision.
Sorry, final question:
Has the ride changed much with your 19" & tire choice?
Any comments will be useful, thanks.

honda's 19" accessory wheel for the 8th gen has a recommended size of 245/40/19, so just go by that.

dont worry about the speedometer and stuff. its not going to make a huge difference unless you are using ridiculously over or undersized wheels and tires.

i dont know if i can afford the 245/40 size tires, i was going to get 235/35, its not that much different but costs 70$ less, should i be ok with that size for the HFP 19's?

You will be fine with that tire size, but the tires will be less "meaty"(thinner sidewall). I have 245/35/20 and the ride isn't bad at all. If you are on a budget the 235/35 will work fine, the tires will look thinner and the ride will be a little more ruff. You will have a little more wheel gap with the 235/35. Its your choice though. Hope that helped

That is the size I'm leaning to because I don't want to change the quality of the ride, but it seems the speedo will be over 2 miles off.
As far as the warranty & other stuff, I don't want to short change my self on something as vital as the warranty.

I just upgraded from 225/35 to 245/35 and it made a BIG difference in the sidewall. I recommend that route!

Thanks for the comment. I'm guessing you can feel the difference in the way the car drives?
