Anybody have any info on putting a larger oil filter on? What # Mobil filter fits? Is there an oversized Mobil filter?

With the 7th gen the S2000 filter seemed to be the rage for a while. I assume (a dangerous thing) it would also fit the 8th gen four bangers.

IF they moved the filter to the oil pan area like on the '07 CRV's 2.4, I don't think a larger filter will physically fit in that spot.

Plus, if you show up for warranty work on the engine, the dealer will void the engine warranty on the spot for using a filter that's not intended for your car's application.

After the warranty, it's up to you.

I still use the S2000 oil filter on my '04 6 speed. The only "real" Honda oil filter.
