:blah::blah:Here's the deal... I have a set of new H.I.D's waiting to be installed on my 08 coupe. My concern is the winter here in Chicago. I know they are good to a certain temperature but if the car was sitting outside in the snow all day would it be a problem to turn them on, or bad for them, or anything like that. The truth is that my last four cars and H.I.D's stock so I never worried, but these are aftermarket and I'm guessing not as good of quality. I did go with the xenon depot after hearing about there rep. So I hope the kit is good. Also my next main concern is the average life span of them. With having to take off the front bumper and everything, it's kind of a hassle. So if these lights have an average life span of typically a year to two, I might think twice before wasting time, money and headache. So Please all you Vets of the Aftermarket H.I.D's let me know what's up. Thanks -B-

As long as your install them without finger printing the element, and ensure that they're sealed to not allow air or moisture in the housing, you should be good to go. From that point on, it's just up to the quality of kit.

Coming up to a year since installing mine, and they've gone through a long cold winter this past year, no issues.

What brand is your HID kit?
I really want to buy a HID kit. The asian accords have all the toys... HID, rear tail light garnish, A/C vents for the back passengers, etc.

Hi,
Our ballasts are rated to operate in -40C to 105C temperature conditions.
The ballast is E4 certified and the bulbs are rated at approx 2500 hours (same rating as Philips HID capsules).
Furthermore, the ballasts are epoxy sealed to ensure that they are water tight.
Regards,
Steve
