I can't find my copy/reference when to have parts checked or service, specially like oil change. Can somebody kindly post me what parts needs servicing or needs to be changed per specific mile/month. Specially like oil change. My Cage is an LX-P

That is what your maintenance reminder is for. It's the little wrench that lights up when your oil life reaches 15%.

Next time try search...its your friend.:thumbsup: There are numerous posts on this.

Reading your manual will answer this and many other questions.

It's worth the read.

@latenites
that is what the service guy at the dealer told me before about the wrench thingy. My friend who owns a Pilot told me earlier that on their service record it's stated their when a particular service parts or a visit to the service center is needed. Just wanted to make sure I am not missing on something.

Sixpack, my dealer gave me a service schedule booklet that includes all their recommended services at specific mileages .. I just typed it up into a thread in the maintenance section .. check it out: http://www.driveaccord.net/forums/showthread.php?p=286742#post286742

their services at these miles are too expensive. can't we take it to an independent shop and have that done?

Yeah, they charge way too much, but you don't have to follow it to a tee .. you can do a lot of the inspecting stuff yourself and just take your car in for things you don't feel like doing such as fluid changes and tire rotations.

For example, at 45,000 miles I would just ask the dealer to do an oil change and tire rotation .. I certainly wouldn't pay the $248 they want for the whole 45k mile service package.
