Did anyone get an invite from their dealer to test drive the Ridgeline this Saturday? I just got one today, should I go?

Yeah, go check it out! My prince has been drooling all over them.... we're not ready to replace the Pilot & not sure we want a Ridgeline, but he likes it. I kinda like the hauling the whole crew option though.

I'd love to drive one but I would feel guilty knowing that I would be wasting their time. I admit that the look and many many features are growing on me but I couldn't make a down payment on a free lunch right now. :thumbsdow

It's not wasting their time! It's good practice for them! I don't think my prince has been able to drive one yet.... the other guys usally do the PDI's & installations. Of course, he didn't get much of his own work done when the first ones were in the shop! :)

I agree with Princess, It's not wasting their time besides It give you an idea on how the vehicle drives & feels. You shouldn't be pressured to buy just because you test drove the vehicle. I know I test drove all the sedans that was on my list before I bought the Accord. If I get off work early enough this Friday, We will definitely go since I did not really test drive the one that we received last year since It was on an aircraft pallet & the darned thing was wired with lots of sensors & too many Honda techs lurking around. Will update everyone on how it drives. :)

I admit the ridgeline looks great. However I heard that its not wise to purchase the first model of a new gen or vehicle. I dont know if that has any truth to it. I would still love to have one though  !

The test drive went pretty excellent even if I was only allowed to drive it on surface roads & the freeway. If you are use to driving an american p/u truck like I am, driving this thing is no way like it. I feels more like a car (a heavy car) than a truck or maybe like the Honda Pilot. You still feel the bulk but it's a lot smoother & quieter than my Chevy 1500, then again my Chevy has Headers, Catback & lowered suspension. It has a very comfortable feeling & you can easily like the way it drives & handles . Power is adequate but I do think it could use more since the truck is very heavy for a Honda. Would I buy one? NO! Not for me since I do haul bulky stuff & the truck bed on the Ridgeline is kinda on the small side. The wife likes it since it a lot bigger than her CRV then I told her about the price & the mileage you get , she backed off. Overall, this truck will be a contender from all the other trucks out there. I has a lot of things that I think most people would want on a vehicle.
