I have a 1995 Accord with 110,000 miles on it. I am getting green residue on top of the radiator. The fealer says the top of the radiator is made out of plastic and that it is developing cracks. The green residue is from seepage through the cracks. They say the only repair is to replace the radiator. Has anyone had a similar problem? If so, how did you fix it?

Funny you should post this. My radiator just cracked on the top('87) and I was feeling cheap and not able to get ahold of a radiator, so went to the auto store and picked up some QuikSteel plastic repair. It comes in a little tube and it looks like putty. Sanded down the spot on the radiator, stop-drilled the crack, put it on there and let it sit over night and no more leak:) Total cost was $5:D

MY CAR overheated last night- for while now it has been loosing antifreeze but it never overheated. We put antifreeze right into the radiator last night and the resevoir but today the radiator looked empty. resevoir was max. Is It MY HEAD GASKET??!?@??

If it was your head gasket, I think you'd have some rough running problems along with some others probably. I'd check around the radiator and see if it isn't seeping out anywhere first. If it is your head gasket, I think you'd have some antifreeze in your oil also. Something else you can check.
