View Full Version : How would you RIM it?
Chocopie 09-11-2008, 08:05 PM I'm going to just throw it out:banana::banana:
If YOU had a Black Accord Coupe V6 6spd... and you liked split-spoke rims... what type of color, finish, brand, and size would you go with...??
And had 2k to play with.:lmao::thumbsup:
next_milenium 09-11-2008, 08:49 PM I'd go with HFP 19". You can't go wrong with OEM as I had bad luck with all my aftermarket wheels. They all had some type of vibration even after balancing and alignment. Maybe it was just my bad luck but over the years I've had at least 4-5 different aftermarket wheels and they ALL vibrated to some degree.
Gosha 09-11-2008, 09:03 PM yep cant go wrong with HFP 19"s.
made to OEM specs, dealer can never give you BS if someone happens to your suspension while under warranty and the TPMS sensors already come with em.
many people including this forum go for cheaper wheels so it seems, which will crack sooner or later and warp when they hit a couple potholes.
08CoupeV6 09-11-2008, 09:39 PM The only thing crappy thing with the HFP wheels is the offsets. If you plan on lowering your car get wheels with a +45 offset on the back to fill that gap.
08CoupeV6 09-11-2008, 09:41 PM These are the wheels i want!!

the top ones are well priced, but the lower ones are expensive!!!!
You could never go wrong with WORK wheels!!
CnixZ06 09-11-2008, 09:42 PM +45 isnt enough to fill the gap
next_milenium 09-11-2008, 09:43 PM I like the first wheel except wheels with lips look nice but look smaller in comparsion to ones without lips.
08CoupeV6 09-11-2008, 09:48 PM That's the thing, there is such a big gap that CNIXZO6 is right, a +45 offset would still leave a gap. Go to a local shop and ask them to do some test fitments. It all depends on offsets and widths. I know i wouldn't want to spend 2k on rims and still have that rim sunk in on the back like it is. My coupe is lowered and people actually ask me if that's a spare on the back.
vv0t0 09-11-2008, 11:37 PM +1 on the HFP 19"s they look really nice on the coupe
AccordDude 09-12-2008, 01:03 AM one of these will be nice on black..

I second that! Just bought the HFP 19's and I love 'em. There is hardly any difference in ride quality from the OEM 18's and I personally like the "smoked" look of them better than I like the "bling" look of some other rims. Plus like someone else said, they are made specifically for your car.
I like these for a nice simple look that'll also be easy to keep clean. (TSW Indy 500)

do you guys even know what you're talking about?
18x8.5 +45 would def fill in that gap, 18x10 +45 would be almost rubbing.
