ok so i picked tires for my soon to be 19" HFP wheels, i went with toyo proxes 4 as an all season sports tire.

here is my issue. the company i am getting it from only has 2 tires left in 245/35 and the rest in 235/35 in Proxes 4. i want to get 2 245's and 2 235's. will it look funny? the only thing changed is the width which i dont think will be noticeable by an eye.

plan to put the sider up front and the others in the back and when its time to rotate ill just move the 235's to the front and the wider to the back

thoughts?

why dont you just get 235's all the way around?

+1

The size difference is small, I would prefer to have 4 identical tires.

well id get slightly better grip with the 245's and for the price i am getting them for its a good deal, i am paying for the 245 size the same money as 235

Wouldn't tire wear come into play with the different tires? Just make sure when they get rotated you don't have one 235 and one 245 in the front or the back at the same time.

I would prefer to have all 4 of the same tire. I had 2 different sets of tires on my Prelude a long time ago...and it looked like the new ones wore down a lot quicker.

you also get more understeer with wider tires.

he was right, when you have different patterns they tend to wear out unevenly.
