hey iv been thinking about lowering my car for a while and also getting different rims. in the end i think i might just get bigger rims and tires that are bigger with smaller walls. this will give me the nice rims and the appearance of being lowered. i was wondering if anyone has done this and what advice you guys can give me
thanks!

This will still give the same wheel gap as your current rim & tires setup does. In fact, it will most likely 'appear' worse since you are thinking the car will look lower. The only way to change the ride height is to lower the car.

The "Big Foot" look will get worst with bigger rims.
Your only solution is to drop the car....

yeah as they said before that wont help at all...smaller tire just makes it look worse unless u drop it

yep these guys are right, the bigger the rims and the smaller your tires. the bigger the wheel gap will look.

Actually, as a rule of thumb, you start to have the "Big foot" look when your wheel gap is equal or bigger than the tire sidewall.
When it is smaller, then you have the "dropped" look

you can still drop the car and have big wheels. but not too big of a wheel. mine look fine and i have both

drop first, rims second.
just my general rule of thumb, a dropped car on stocks still looks better than a stock height car with rims.
lower pro tires on aftermarket wheels with no drop look really bad imo

hahahahah no im not sayin to do it like that. i have a friend that had a 3 series and he got bigger rims and bigger tires than the stock rims and tires but the tires had a small tire wall and there was a very tiny gap btwn his tire and the body of the car giving it the "lowered" look.
