A new bench mark in the making,,, maybe? Naw that couldn't happen could it?
stevencrosbie 09-16-2008, 07:44 PM So many nice cars.
I got to sit in the new 2010/2011 Corvette today. As well, I got to sit in the new Camaro, and two new Chevy Volts.
They have them at Holloman AFB for the filming of the new Transformers II movie. The Volt is a nice car.
Watch out Honda. Gas prices have awoke the sleeping giant, and the giant has some nice products.
I really like the MZ6.
Sorry...no pictures allowed where these cars are on base....
stevencrosbie 09-16-2008, 07:48 PM Oh man...that review is good news for the new 6. Now they just need to mate that engine to the 6MT and I'll be in the market when that comes out....

mr. crosbie if you get a chance see if you can kidnap Megan Fox for me, I'll be real nice to her I promise:lmao:

:notworthy:notworthy:notworthy can't wait
KP Texan 09-17-2008, 07:20 AM Those 0-60 times in the test seem slow. I'm guessing it was the ambient temp and/or elevation during testing but I thought most of those cars should be capable of closer to 6.0 second 0-60 times. Heck, an Accord sedan identical to mine pulled a 5.9 second 0-60 time in the February 2006 issue of Car and Driver, all with a lowly 244HP 3.0L V6.

gaviota 09-17-2008, 07:38 AM I really like the new Mazda 6
Back in 2006, when I bought my Accord, my second choice was the Mazda 6. I liked the Accord more, so that's what I bought. But that was with the previous generation of both cars, with the current gens, I'm pretty sure I would pick the Mazda 6.
And that article is incomplete, they should have included a Camry and a Malibu too :thumbsdow

Price to pay for an AT...with a MT, times would be faster...
kopimon 09-17-2008, 09:18 AM I think something is wrong with those number as well .. the accord coupe can do it in 5.9 seconds .. the sedan should be comparable, being lighter with the same engine
stevencrosbie 09-17-2008, 09:55 AM AT + VCM + Lower Torque = slower car.
psyshack 09-19-2008, 03:38 AM I think its a interesting car. I don't think they will ever do a Coupe. Or a 6mt V6. But if they did a Speed6 that could be fun!
Also of note we are seeing the MZ6 a lot faster on the streets here. It took months for a 8th Gen Accord to be seen a regular basis.

Affirmative my friend.......a six speed stick just might send me to the bank to talk Mazda.

Sounds like a nice new model. What about Mazda reliability? Isn't that what holds it back?
