Does anyone use a fuel stabilizer in a vehicle that sees ''weekend-only use"??
I'm looking at getting an older 4Runner after the new year. I'll use it only on weekends, runs to Lowes/Home Depot, etc.
Any suggestions??

I am sure Stabil or Seafoam would help. The most important thing is keeping the tank full(Less room for condensation).

I put maybe 2,500 miles / year on my 89 Prelude if that. I've never had issues with the fuel system or starting considering the infrequency of which I drive it.
But I don't think it would hurt to use it. In the winter when I wouldn't be driving Prelude for 4-5 months at a time, I would use stabilizer. More recently, a full tank with stabilizer sat for 2.5 years. Never had issues starting up and going tho after 2.5 years, while it ran well enough, there was definitely an improvement when I ran it out and topped off with fresh.
I do add fuel system cleaner to at least every other tank. Like Inspector mentioned, I'd keep the tank topped off when possible. If you're driving it at least once a week / every other week, you should be fine w/o stabilizer. If you're pushing more like once a month, wouldn't be a bad idea to use it.
