Sorry if this has been asked a million times, but... I have ordered the Metra dash kit, Pioneer 4000DVD head unit, PAC steering controls, etc. It should all arrive in a day or so, but I have a (hopefully) easy question.

1) I'm confused about the subwoofer. Will that be lost after I connect the head-unit? Is there a way to reconnect it without getting an aftermarket amp/sub?

Thanks - I will be around here and let you know how the progress goes. I am doing the install myself (I have done many car installs, but haven't toyed around with the new Accord yet).

I guess it would depend on the HU and wiring harness you use. The +/- wires for the sub are going to be connected to the factory connector. If your HU only sends the subwoofer signal through its RCA outputs, you might lose the sub. Good question though, I had never considered this before.
