Whining Sound

My 08 LXP has been making a whining sound. The sound started at about 1500 RPM. I first thought that it was coming from the transmission. I rev-ed it up while in park so I ruled out the tranny. I called my service adviser and described the problem. He told me to stop by. I rev-ed it up for him. He knew exactly what it was. My power steering fluid was low. He told me that he has had a few 08 Accords come in with the same problem. The power steering fluid is slowly leaking out. I only have 2k miles on my Accord. I checked the fluids a few weeks ago but nothing was low. Has anyone else had this problem?

No, but I had my tranny sensor crap out and they had to replace the entire ECU. Bad luck I guess =\

In the first 2,000 miles I have had a leak in my power steering system and had a bad sensor that had to be replaced. Hondas are not supposed to do that.:furious:

Is it me or is it normal for the transmission to make a slight whine noise untill it gets to high gear? I have an exl 4cyl .I brought it in about this and the dealer said its ok-.......is it?

yea that should be fine i think all the i4s have that

All the 4 bangers have that whinning sound- 177hp and the 190 hp. You can hear it more in the base cars that do not have the hood insulator. From what I was told it is normal.
