So I realized that my GF's 09 Sedan has the same Michelins but in 225/50/17 and wow do they look beefy ... Was curious what would be the benefit or downside to upgrading from my stock 215/50 to those?
Aesthically the tires look more sportier and wider but I guess I should be asking would they fit w.o rub issue's and if they do fit is it worth it?

you're not lowered so you wouldn't have rubbing issues. The only problem you'll encounter is the speedometer difference...

I see in your sig you have a 2006 like me, so no, those tires won't work right. Reason being the 2006/07 17 inch rims are only 6.5 inches wide...not 7 inches wide like 2003-2005. I really really wanted to go 225/45R17s but they won't fit properly on the rim.

You're 100% correct. Just because it fits doesn't mean that the car is going to handle or ride better if the tire is mounted on a rim that it's too narrow. When Honda went to a 225/50/17 tire on the 8th gen Accords they also went to a 17x7.5" wheel. I wouldn't mount a 225/50 tire on anything less than a 17x7" wheel.
