It's much lighter than our accord. RTexasF 09-26-2008, 10:10 AM Intake and exhaust is where most people start. Use the search feature near the top of the page for more info. Using just the word intake brought up 13 pages. 07accord540 09-26-2008, 11:03 AM ive got the same car, look at my sig for a list of mods. there is also a thread titled 7th gen faq. that stands for frequently asked questions. there is a lot of good info there. kroze 09-26-2008, 11:13 AM Does the unorthodox racing pulley make any noticeable performance difference? 07accord540 09-26-2008, 01:53 PM absolutely. 07AccordEx-L 09-26-2008, 02:23 PM geez people use the search engine. this has been covered so many times. I even answered someone else that had the same thread. start off with -Cold air intake (since ur's is a 2007 get the Fujita Cold air intake with MAF sensor) -TSX intake manifold (2006-2007) -Pulley set (either Ralco or Unorthodox Racing) Ralco is $100+ cheaper but weights more in ounces while UR is lighter but not much and costs a lot more -DC header -Exhaust (GReddy EVO2 or SP2) there are also other exhausts that's all i can think of for bolt-ons. could be more but that's all i learned so far. aw44 09-29-2008, 05:06 PM geez people use the search engine. this has been covered so many times. I just want the car to look cool. If MPG's are not improved, I don't want to touch the engine bay. Can I just do the suspension mod? Any cool wheels you recommend with a 1" drop? You seem to know what you are talking about. I got a 07 SE silver. Thanks 07AccordEx-L 09-29-2008, 05:19 PM believe it or not all these do indeed increase ur power as well as MPG. The cold air intake alone gets u around +3 MPG. I was averaging 27 and it bumped it up to 29 and now I am in the 30's. The only way for me to get under 30 is if I floor it everyday a lot. U said u have an 07 SE silver. so I'm assuming u have the sedan. There's not really anyway to make the sedan "look" cool bc there is no lip kit for it. For suspension, I'd go for a 2 inch gap minimum. otherwise might as well not do a drop. I'm actually a noob to suspension so if u wanna know what u need for it, ur asking the wrong person lol. But I would recommend an Acura TL Type-S 20mm rear sway bar as well as a 27.2 front sway. That and a drop will do the job =) maybe throw in a neuspeed strut bar or the accord 6mt one. joshmc 09-29-2008, 06:28 PM Would you know anything about some cam stuff? cuz i'm also tryin to get back that old school VTEC kick. skunk2 tuner cams and cam gears with some AEM electronics... sound good? or is that just gonna fail... i'm new at this ha ha Hondaonda1991 09-29-2008, 08:01 PM I just want the car to look cool. A&Fbro28 09-30-2008, 09:43 AM If you do sway bar, just upgrade the rear, Smaller front sway w/ larger rear = Less understeer (plowing) and better rotation. Adding the bigger front sway with bigger back sway, usually will yield the same amount of understeer you had. Notice the only difference in swaybar sizes from TL and TL-S is the rear sway. If you have any questions, feel free. Also noone mentioned headers. DC Sport headers yield good torque numbers and some hp. Doing TSX intake manifold w/ CAI (cold air intake), headers, & quiet exhaust (Greddy SP2 or Apex-i WS2) will prob yeild 15-20hp and 5-10ft/lbs torque. Lighter wheels help alot too. When i had my 03 CL-S 6-Spd, I changed the stock wheels for 18in Volk SE37A's which were 6lbs lighter each. Because the egine has less rotational mass to worry about, thats more tq to the ground. It felt like i gained another 10ft/lbs of tq from just the wheel change. You'll HEAR that famous "mmmmmBAAAAAA!!!!" sound hondas are famous for...lol. Headers will too even more. The vtec surge is because if jump in torque at the x-over of cams. So headers def will help. Inta helps some but helps alot in the engine sound for vtec but gains topend. AznX TL 09-30-2008, 10:32 AM You'll get the vtec "kick" when the intake is added. It's faint but it's still there. I'd recommend wearing headphones to get better results. http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee105/07AccordEX-L/th_MOV00526-1.jpg (http://s231.photobucket.com/albums/ee105/07AccordEX-L/?action=view¤t=MOV00526-1.flv) |
