I have used carnuba waxes exclusively for many years, but am tempted to try Klasse (ie, a synthetic) after reading some of the posts on this Forum. If you use Klasse All in One, is it necessary to follow with the Sealant Glaze or could you apply carnuba to the All in One instead of the SG?

You can apply carnauba after the Klasse AIO. SG is a sealant and can be a real PITA to use if you put too much on. If longevity enters your equation at all wax is not the way to go. Dura Gloss #105 (says polish but is a superb sealant) will offer months of protection as opposed to wax which is good for a few weeks at best. The exception to that is any of the Collinite waxes. They will last as long as a good sealant. Figure on 4-6 months depending on the preparation involved, weather conditions, and if the car is parked inside or out. Of the ones offered I prefer their Insulator Wax #845 and I thank Jason (Motor City Honda) for turning me on to it. A little goes a LONG way with it, apply it so thin that you can barely see it on the surface. This is true of all waxes & sealants......many think "more is better" and that's just plain wrong.......thin is the way to apply them.
If you use an off the shelf wax then SG will outlast it big time.

Old Bird,
Or you suggesting Dura Gloss #105 on top of an appliation of Klasse AIO? Wouldn't the cleaner in 105 take off some of the Klasse? I've never used a liquid carnuba, but the Collinite #845 does sound attractive. That, I assume, you can put on top of the Klasse.
Thanks for the info.

The AIO is a chemical cleaner with very little sealant properties. The #105 is a very light cleaner but has very strong sealant properties, no harm no foul. The look of the #105 is so close to that of a carnauba that few could tell the difference. It's cheap and applies/removes easily. Same with the Collinite but I say again thin thin thin for both of these and the AIO too. The Collinite insulator Wax needs to be shaken EXTREMELY well (maybe even stirred), the Dura gloss just moderately. Both work very well but I prefer sealants as a rule, just a personal choice.
Another angle is Klasse AIO, then #105, then Collinite after 12-24 hours. That should keep your paint protected for the winter.
If you already have the Klasse AIO then use it. If not buy Dura Gloss #501 instead, same thing but much less expensive.

Hmmm, I thought AIO was a good sealant. I bought it to use on my windows.
MCH suggested 501 to clean, 601 to polish/prep and 605 to seal. Could the AIO fit into that process somewhere or is that overkill?

I assume you meant #105 to seal not #605. The Klasse AIO would take the place of the #501. If you already have it then use it. #601 is a bonding agent for the #105. It does help the #105 bond kind of like a two part epoxy, depends on what kind of durability you are expecting. I have never used the #601 bonding agent because (1) I'm too lazy and (2) my car is garaged and only gets driven once a week if that. If Jason says it's good then use it.
It is always recommended to seal paint after Klasse AIO because it is a lightweight sealant with minimal protection.......that's why they recommend using SG after it. As I said above, "The AIO is a chemical cleaner with very little sealant properties."
To top it all off a wipedown with Duragloss Aquawax (a spray sealant in actuality) when done will knock your socks off. Slick as teflon snot and easy as pie to use.....get a gallon you'll never regret it.
