Ok so this maybe a tech question but is there a reason why the accord sunroof tilt level is so low??? Seems like the angle of the tilt is the reason for all the wind noise and in my opinion one of those sunroof wind deflectors just don't look good on the car.

Even though my old GTI was an electrical nightmare the sunroof tilt i felt was much higher hence no wind noise at all. I actually use the tilt function more so than opening the entire roof so that's why I am interested in this matter.

I am questioning maybe that my tilt is not sliding up all the way, but than again i do not know how high its suppose to tilt, but i asked someone who had the same car has me but just in ex trim model 4 cylinder and he said he needed to buy the deflector to deal with it....

Anyone have any thoughts??

It just barely opens and yes the wind whistle is quite irritating, that's just the way it works. A wind deflector is likely the only thing that will quiet it down.

What is the purpose of driving with it tilted?

I only have my tilted with the shade cracked when I'm parked to keep it from getting steamy/hot in the car.

I drive with mine tilted a lot. I have very very light skin and I like the vent but dont want to burn..

Don't really know the purpose maybe having some air filter in w/o the actual sunroof being open .. I always thought it gave the car some aggressive-ness to it when the roof was tilted (the look from the front) ... :)

I actually use the tilt feature everyday on the freeway. On days where I don't run the A/C, I don't want to open the window when doing 70 mph either because the noise and wind is too loud. The tilt feature allows air to come in without significant noise (for me at least).

What I want to know is what people's general feeling is about needing a sunroof versus doing without in terms of how essential it is in one's car. I would say most could do without but I got one for those smoky moments. ;)
