I have a 99 Honda Accord with the factory cd player. I cannot get it to play burned cds however. The funny thing is, I have a burned cd that it will play, but it will not play any other ones.
So it appears it has the capability to play burned cds. I burned a regular old audio cd. Not mp3 or .wma. Any suggestions or information would be greatly appreciated!
Sometimes, the brand can make a difference.
I have had the best luck w/ Fuji CD-Rs.
try another brand and see if you have the same problems.

Yep, brand could be one problem, but also try burning the CD at a slower speed, perhaps 2x or 4x or 8x, rather than the full speed (24x, 36x, 48x or whatever depending on your burner).
Good luck!
Tom
Agreed.
Burn speed could also be an issue.

I know very little about the subject, but are the ones you are having reouble with possibly on rewritable media and the one that works on the write-once media. I believe I heard somewhere that some CD players won't read the rewritable type but will read the write-once type. - might be worth a shot.
If you try that please let me know whether it works or not.

Hi Curly,
A quote from page 136 of my 2004 Accord Owners' Manual:
"* When using CD-R discs, use only high quality CDs labeled for audio use.
* When recording a CD-R, the recording MUST BE CLOSED for it to be used by the CD players.
* CD-RW disks will not in this unit.
..."
Does any of this help?

I concur. I have a headunit from a 2002 EX V6 and the 6CD player doesn't play CD-RW. I use regular old AT&T CD's, not necessarily labeled for audio use, burn at 16x with no trouble. Burn speed is not an issue if you use buffer underrun protection.
