What is the reason that moonroof visors for 1998-2002 Honda Accords have been discountinued? I see that from the Handa-accessories.com website that moonroof visors for the 2003-2005 Accords are still being sold.

Inspector1 03-29-2005, 08:08 PM If you call Tim(Hondaacuraworld) 888-RAY-LAKS Ray Laks Honda 100 Orchard Park Rd. West Seneca, NY 14224 I am Quite sure he could answer your ? and possibly hook you up with what your after   I1 :) BenjiBoy650 03-29-2005, 08:28 PM They stop carrying accessories 3 years after the production of the car ended. 2002 + 3 = 2005 = this year. They just had stuff from 1998 because it was the same part. This is what the Honda dealer told me. princess 03-30-2005, 01:00 PM Welcome, jziegler!! Even if a part has been discontinued many dealers do still have some of the parts. Ones that were well stocked anyway. If there you want the moonroof visor, call around & see if any of the dealers in your area still have one. We've found parts later... like a spoiler for an '86 in '95.... it CAN happen! stiller fan 03-30-2005, 01:09 PM moonvisor??? princess 03-30-2005, 01:16 PM That's the smoked plastic piece in front of the moonroof that is supposed to help with wind coming in. I liked it on the '86 because it made it look less obviously open in parkinglots & I had the fear of someone throwing trash or a lit cigarette inside! I opted NOT to put it on the '03.... jziegler 03-30-2005, 02:35 PM Thanks to all for the advice. At this point, I am still not sure if I need the moonroof visor. Does it make a significant difference? This past weekend I added a woodgrain audio panel that looks fantastic and a cargo net for the trunk that appears functional. I may be addding a spoiler this summer, but with all that the Honda V6 Ex currently has that may be enough. hondacuraworld 03-31-2005, 12:52 PM They just plain old ran out. And since the vehicle is out of production, they never made any more :( |
