+1 for WetPaint, rain pretty much washes all sloped/vertical surfaces of the car for you. The only place dust collects is the flat parts like the roof, trunk, and the little area under the trunk lid.

At least that's what I've observed while using it.

I use WetPaint as well. It is glorious and as long as you use it properly with a clean towel, you won't introduce anymore scratches.
