Please forgive me if the answer is here and I didn't find it. I'm a salesman, driving 600 - 1,000 miles a week. I've got 155K on a V-6 LE. I've been running Yokohama Avid V4's and standard Honda Rims. I have noticed I'm getting a lot of road noise. It is so bad, I was thinking of replacing the car. I have pinned it to the tires which, now that I know what it is, are driving me crazy. I am going to replace the tires. It seems that I also have two bent rims (according to my mechanic,) So, I'm looking for smooth and quiet. I'm 47 and not too interested in bling factor. If I replace the rims I'm looking for something at least as good as the Honda OEM rims. The tires that are on the car are 205/60R16.
Would someone here give me some advice on which rim, if a larger size = smoother quieter ride. What brand of rim and tire would you suggest?

Why not get the bent rims straightened? There are outfits out ther which can save you the cost of 4 new rims.

Higher sidewall will give you smoother ride.

A 205/65/16 should help. :)

I have both, a 195/60/15 on one of my Accords, and 195/65/15 on the other, and there is a noticed difference. Road imperfections are better absorbed, too.
