i dont have much knowledge when it comes to car engines so any help would be appreciated. my engine is stock right now (V6 auto). i was wondering if a cold air intake or short ram intake would do anything for my car as far as making it faster off the line or sounding different? they both say that they increase horsepower but does anyone know? thanks for the advice

It'll be more throaty as installing an intake usually means removing the intake silencer. I'm not so sure about off the line, I haven't had much experience with the V6's, but I'm sure it'll make at least some power in the upper RPM range.
