How do I get at the TCS switch to replace the bulb in it (item 1)? Same with the sunroof switch (item 6)? Is there a console piece to take off or can you wedge them out somehow?

On a similar note how do I get to the switch/bulb under the shift lever (item 1)? I'm trying to replace that bulb as well. Do I need to pull off the shift lever knob and pull out the escutcheon console somehow?

For the sunroof switch, there are two screws on the cover below the steering wheel. Once you remove them you can pop out part of that cover. It is attached by clips. Pull out the 1st couple and you can reach behind and push the switch out. Once you disconnect the connector, you can take it out completely. I am not sure how you replace the shifter light bulbs. Since I have a manual. But I think you are heading in the right direction.

Good info, I'll check it out...yeah I'm a wuss for the automatic, but I still love this machine. So much that I want to have all the stupid little bulbs on the accessories lit! I may as well just buy a bunch of these lil lights since I bet my engine will last longer than these replacements.

Anyone have any idea of the light under the shift lever?

I just open the thing that says not an ashtray and pull up the plate that covers the shifter. It is just clipped in. I think the wiring is on the left side of the shifter as you are sitting in the drivers seat

I finally got around to replacing the bulb under the shift lever. After you pull up the frame, you have to unclip the plate with the P-R-N-D... on it to get at the bulb. You cant take it all the way off, but the wire slack should give you enough room to work if you're precise. You have to twist the harness the bulb is in (get the bumps to line up right)and then it comes loose. You can then simply pull the bulb straight out of the socket and replace in the opposite order.

I also got the TCS and Sunroof switches. There was one screw under the left side of the steering wheel holding the panel in place. Then I had to "VERY" carefully, but firmly remove that panel. Once you do it's just like any of the other switches once you get them apart from the socket leads.

Up next, the bulbs in the heated seat switches will also burn out, if you have leather interior. I have replaced the heated seat bulbs, sunroof bulb, TCS bulb, and hazard bulb. All went out in the course of a month. But they lasted 5 years and easy to replace, so can't complain.
