Hello all,
I have finally finished my install of the Mp3 player for the accord. It works great.... I put the max # of songs allowed (25500) on one disk and it is alittle slow to load but it works and sounds great. The reason why I opted to put this in rather than the ever popular I-pod mod, is because I listen to a lot of techno music which is over 2 hours for one song. (Its kinda like a musical story) the ipod install while works would mean that I would have to put all of those old songs onto my computer then the ipod. since I dont own an ipod and I got all of the parts and player for the cost of the ipod this is why I opted to put this player in. on another note if you have the navi and want to put this in voice commands will not work on this player and you must press the cd / sat radio button to get this player to play. (if putting in disk, h/u automatically switches to the player).
The unit takes about an hour to install with the navi.... so an easy DIY project.
on an interesting note there is a 20 pin connector that must be used to plug the unit in. I had to purchase the splitter that allows the XM radio to work. my point is that the MP3 player has two 20 pin connections, like the second could be a bypass. I plan on installing the I-ves and hope that I can piggy back the dvd unit on this Mp3 player.....  otherwise I will have to rig the units to work....
just food for thought :dunno:
