Take that one either way I guess. I loved growing up in Gulfport/Biloxi. But, it's so different now what with the casino's, changes from the storm effects, and general can't go home again kind of way that it's better left in the past for me. Still have lots of family there and enjoy going back to see them.

It ultimately becomes a trip of seek and find for searching for all the old landmarks I grew up with...something about that 30+ feet of water from Katrina that rearranged and took so much. I noted the people are very different now post Katrina, too.

But hey...nothing stays the same. Still lots of good things there I will always go back for.

haha berg there's nobody else. if anything all the undiscovered 7th gen owners are in biloxi or ocean springs. we live where TC's and civics are everywhere. it's all good though. i rather stick out like a sore thumb from the crowd. this will probably get moved to the other section. southeast.

I'm from MS. Moved to Mobile about 3 months ago for work. I've vowed to never return if I can help it, but my parents still live in Brandon and I'll be driving up through the Burg in two weeks to visit (short term visit of course ;) ).

We had a house on Beach Blvd in Waveland. We have an empty lot now, but it'll get rebuilt eventually :)

I remember spending almost every weekend and most holidays there when I was little.

Yeah, there was a little shack on stilits I was going to get years ago down near Clermont Harbor that is now long gone after Katrina...including the actual land it was on!

Guess you're lucky to still have some dirt dry enough to rebuild upon.

I guess Katrina is the cause of some of you moving away from MS =(

For me I had left a long time before. But Katrina did do away with any options of returning. I lived through plenty of hurricances there and rebuilding does and will occur. It's more a shift of what I see it rebuilding as this time. Eh...time and places move on...so do the people.
