Have them checked, you'll be glad you did, if the bearing or clutch fails it could (unlikely but possibly) throw the belt off. Fredsvt 10-10-2008, 03:40 PM If you hear abnormal noises from that compressor, get it replaced asap. If it does detonate, and send all it's guts through the system. It will cost you more than a small fortune if it does that. The compressor should make little or no noise. Many do whine a bit at lower rpms, but grinding or knocking is NOT right. | ||
