Can anyone recommend which dealer I should go to in Queens or Brooklyn to service my Accord? I usually went to Planet Honda in NJ but since I don't work in NJ anymore, I need something closer to home. I mean I could go there but I'd be paying $4 in tolls and I'd have to drive through Manhattan (pain in the rear).

The closest one to me is Hillside Honda. There's also Paragon Honda and the dealers in Long Island (South Shore i think is one).

Which one should I go to? I'm thinking Hillside is better because they are closer, but does anyone have any experience with them?

Or are they all the same and am I worrying for nothing?

I'm in the Ozone Park area of Queens close to JFK, so how far away is Bay Ridge Honda? Is their service dept good?

I live in brooklyn and I don't even go to a dealer in the New york city area. I go to a dealer upstate called kea honda also goes by nanuet honda. Its in spring valley, upstate NY exit 13 on I-87, about a 45min-1 hour drive. You ask why I go so far, first I use to work in jersey and this dealer in on the border line. Customer service is top notch, just dealing with city people gets on my nerves. I have 4 honda's in my immediate family, I can call up service and if I have a problem they will tell me if it is worth coming or if it something I can do myself. Also the fact that I can get an appt in 1 week instead of a month. Put it this way, my tranny in my 2000 v6 accord started going on thursday, CEL and D4 started blinking. Called them up they said they have no availability for friday but if U show up as an emergency visit they will take a look. They ended up giving me a rental so I wouldn't have to drive back up to drop the car eventhough they told me they weren't touching my car until the following tuesday. Sorry if im rambling on, but one of the main reasons I am staying with honda is because of there great service.

PS: Also price, an oil filter at plaza automall in brooklyn runs $10, and they charge extra for the washer, kea charges $4.75 incl the washer.

Good point.

I think I'll just spend the $4 in tolls and go to Planet H in Union, NJ.

Nanuet Honda decided to put the wrong spark plugs in my Civic way back when. But I believe they move a lot of cars, so they're probably more willing to deal.

And upstate? Spring Valley is commutable to NYC easily. :)

Cool, how long for an appointment though?

They turned me off a bit admittedly because they put these HUGE dealer ads on the CR-V's spare tire cover I've seen. I wanted to boycott them for this really stupid practice. License plate frames, ok, but that HUGE thing on the CR-V? Come on!!

But if their service dept is any good maybe I'll give them a spin...
