For those of you, who have decided to go with the 20" rims, are you getting any rubbing on the fenders on turns or any time during your driving experience? Or has anyone heard stories of friends/family getting some rubbage after putting 20" rims on their Accord? I'm talking about the accord coupe

Not at all...i have 245/35/20" tires and i have ZERO trouble. Even going over speed bumps and what not, you don't even come close to rubbing. Your ride will get a little on the stiff side, but thats expected.

Put 20s and your whole suspension will be gone in a couple of years. Big rims kill any car's suspension man.

The car is designed for 18 MAX, so why go with 20s?

But I guess if you care about the way the car looks more than the car itself, then do what you wish.

depends on wheel width, wheel offset and tire size. i can make 16's rub on the accord if i wanted to. the wheel diameter tells you absolutely nothing about fitment.

Hmm... alot of these websites won't even let me select 20 inch rims when I tell them that my car is a 2008 accord coupe

How can this be damaging when Honda makes a 19 inch HFP wheel for this car?

From people I have seen with rims.they're suspension only last compared to the way they drive.knew a guy that worked on the same base as i do and he put 20 inch rims on his black coupe 2007 EX and not only did he warp 2 front rims.his suspension was bending.this was told to him by shop he took it to.after he got an alignment to try to fix it.he was a rough driver.so take it easy out there with ur 20's guys

Please dont' compare 8th gen with the previous gen as the car has built bigger in size....
In fact Tirerack also recommend 245/30-20 for our car.

22's can fit on the coupe without rubbing. I wouldnt doit it but it possible.

No rubbing even at full cut. The wheel wells are huge. Although as one of the previous posters said, a very large offset can change this if you have the wheels sticking out of the wells and under the lip, or vise versa, tucked to far in. A 37 to a 45 and your ok give or take

don't 20s make the car slower??? by how much? few hp loss per wheel? it takes more inertia to move the rim, but less inertia to keep it moving. correct? also, do 20s mess up the speedometer??

I dunno if it makes it go slower... 20" rims... but we would definitely lose the whole "system that tells you when your tire pressure is low"... right?

No, you won't "lose HP" because that doesn't have to anything to do with the motor. If the rim is heavy that would increase the weight of the vehicle and could decreasing acceleration, etc. Also in theory a heavier wheel will slightly affect suspension bc a lighter wheel is easier to keep stuck to the road (less weight to be pushed down to pavement with any hop by vehicle).

Also, Chocopie - TPS sensors can be re-located to new rims. A few people have done that on the site, but they do have to be removed, put in, and then I think re-programmed.

Not to mention stopping can be an issue if you have nice heavy chrome. However 20s only make the cart slower if they are heavier than stock. Some won't be while others for the most part will be.
