so i drove over a curb.. and then after that my tire pressure light went on.. and then i continued to drive then i realized my car started to swerve to the right and it felt awkward driving.. so i was wondering how long can i actually drive on my spare tire? i also didnt know that driving over a curb could actually pop your tire..

well i guess it would depend on what kind of curb it is...and what do u mean by pop..is there a big hole in your tire or did u just break the bead...as for the spare im pretty sure its just for emergency use only and u shouldnt drive on it for longer than necessary ...so pretty much monday i gues since most places wont be open sunday ...and i believe u are suppose to stay under 50 mph ....but that might have changed somewhere in my 10 years of driving

I'm pretty sure the spare tire should have BIG BOLD LETTERS ON THE SIDEWALL that say how long you can drive on it.
IIRC most spares (at least on older cars) was 50 miles @ 50 mph.

i think the spare in my bro's car (08 Accord Sedan EX-L v6 w/Navi) was told 45 miles @ 50 mph, i hit 55mph and was like CRAP! and slowed down lol so just be careful with your speed

If you did that much damage, I would also suggest that you may need an alignment. Try to be careful, not only will this mess with your alignment but will also cause your wheel bearings to fail prematurely which will cost you $$$.

I would also check your 18's carefully for bends or cracks

And aren't you going to tell us what the hell you were doing that made you drive over a curb???:naughty: Sounds like somebody is learning how to drive a manual:lmao:. Just giving you a hard time man.
Sounds like you hit the curb hard enough to possibly cause suspension damage, so you should check the wheel and alignment to make sure everything is right under there. Good luck.

Since we are on the topic of spare tires, I'm going to bust out my patented rant of the day :D
Temporary spares, (ie compact spares, doughnuts, etc), should be illegal! There's too many people who are driving around on them like they are a normal tire. THEY ARE NOT! They are designed to get you to the neareast repair shop, not your destination 200 miles away. Not to mention the people who are going 80mph on those little things! Talk about dangerous. Whats really a drag is the fact that most of the cars with compact spares can fit a full size tire (it appears our Accords can by the manual, but I haven't tried).
/rant :D
If I find out a full size will fit in there, I'll buy a steelie and put a cheap, new tire on it just so I have it. I'd gladly pay another $300 for the Accord to have come with this standard!
