I drive to work in my 96 GMC Sierra Extended Cab P/U (89K original miles) with:
Centerline Billet Aluminum Spear Wheels
CGS Motor Sports CAI
MagnaFlow Catback Exhaust
B & M Electronic Shifter
Air Raid Throttle Body Spacer
Bosch Triple Electrode Platinum Plugs
Jacobs Electronics Plug Wires
Jet Electronics Low Temp Thermostat
Bilstein Shocks
Empire Billet Aluminum Corvette Checkerd Flag Rear View Mirror
Empire Billet Aluminum Stubby Antenna
Blaupunkt Cassette Deck
ARE Fiberglass Flat Lid
LUND Grill Screen
Eclipse Fogs
Sport Truck Bed Liner

With the exception of my agressive exhaust note, my truck has virtually no road noise & rides alot smoother than my Accord Coupe. On the downside I can watch my gas gage needle go down. Fortunately I'm only 9 miles from work. :dude::dude::dude::dude::dude:

Besides the Accord, I have these 2 SUVs, both are models that where never sold in the US.

The black one is a 1999 Hyundai Galloper. It's a clone of the first generation Mitsubishi Montero built by Hyundai. It's an old style body on frame 4x4 truck, it has 7 seats, dual air conditioner, a manual transmision and a turbo diesel engine. It's great for off-road adventures, it has lots of space, it can go anywhere, and the nice thing about an old car is that I don't care if it's get dirty, muddy, vomited or even flooded

The white one is a 2004 Mitsubishi Montero IO. It's my wife's daily driver, it's about the same size as a Toyota RAV4, but it has a better (real) 4 wheel drive system, with a low range.

And the Accord is my daily driver. I had been a 4x4 guy since 1993, so after 13 years of driving only trucks the Accord feels to me very smooth and fast :)

03 golf gl tdi. That poor little car has had a hard life but has never let me down (I know, rare for a vw eh?).
After 155k It still has the original clutch, turbo and brake rotors.
Can't complain.:)

I should note that this truck will be replaced with a 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab 4x4 with the 5.3L V8 shortly.

Its a great car and I just waxed it this week. It's white with the saddle interior. It has running boards and a rear wing, but it gets 13-14 miles to the gallon. Luckily when she was working she only drove 3 miles each way to work.

We traded in a 1999 Passport and that car used to get 19 to 20. That was also a nice car (for being an Isuzu that is)

MDX & Pilot have different fuel-economy ratings? I see, I see. My sis's 1st gen' Pilot EX-L gets 17-19mpg in suburbia (mostly rural driving, not much highway). . .

Acura's Lemon TL turned me into a truck guy. I don't foresee myself being anything else for a long time. I actually enjoy the comfort of my pickup over cars.

Nothing right know but I'm thinking once I'm done with grad school I might get a used Nissan Frontier as a secondary vehicle for the times I need a truck.

The new Tundra's look like their sculpted from granite, and then sand-blasted/polished in a wind-tunnel.

Very refined & forged'like shape!

I thought Honda made the Passport?

1998 ZX2 Escort .. this was taken about 3 years ago, it has 140k on it now. It was also rear-ended by a 04ish VW Beetle last year*. It still drives fine but I just need to figure out why it keeps draining batteries on me. 5MT, I loved zipping around in that car.

http://personal.stevens.edu/~nkoprivi/pics/06-28-05_1949.jpg

*Highschool girl was looking over her right shoulder to change lanes, didn't think about what's going on in front of her (after all, traffic isn't dynamic .. nothing can change in the couple of seconds you take your eyes off the road, amiright? :screwy:) I have pics somewhere at home, but my bumper was caved in and there was structural damage to the trunk. She also bent my exhaust pipe 90 degrees upwards, to the point where there was barely an opening. I could hear the engine whining and straining under the huge backpressure during the very slow and careful ride home. But there's something to be said about VWs though .. not a scratch on her car :dunno:

At 5600 lbs....it might actually be forged out of granite :lmao:
Actually, I think the GMC Sierra is a better "looking" truck, but the powertrain and size of the interior falls way short.

As well, the long term reliability of the Tundra will be a good advantage over the gas GMC/Ford/Chrysler varients.

These pictures are old. There are some nice nerf bars I've added since then:nuts:

I thought Honda made the Passport?

The early ones were rebadged Isuzu's. Honda needed to get into that market quickly so they got in bed with Isuzu for a few years.
