Does anyone know what the torque specs are on the bolts for the engine stiffener plate (flywheel dust shield) on a 98 Accord 4 cyl LX? I'm going to hand tighten the oil pan bolts and see if that helps with a very small leak.

Princess if you have the doc on the oil pan removal I would appreciate if you can send it over.

I can't find any instructions for removing the oil pan, but the torque is 8.7 lbf.ft.

Nothing on the shield either.

Generally that means it's too easy & if they have to tell the tech HOW, then they should be in another line of business. :dunno:

Ok thanks for the help. I'll just put the shield tight enough and hope for the best. I guess the only place that would have it is in the Helm manual.
