Ok so tell me people are not messed up in the head. Who would do something like this! I park on the street and i need a new car alarm, but im not sure that will do any good. But anyone could just come back and do it again and leave. So should i get a alarm like the viper or something that you guys recommend? It will cost me $1400 for the scratches (very deep), and $200 for the glass. Thankfully the insurance will cover all of it.
Here are some pictures of the car. It happened around 2am i had just came from a double from work, and the next thing i hear was a braking glass kind of sound.

Any good?

piss anyone off lately?

anywho, I had the best Viper alarm made, about 4 years ago and LOVED IT!
It was worth every penny! I paid like 500, but that's cuz I worked at the place, woulda been like 1200 installed. You could hear that thing a mile away!
(Also had remote start which was awesome, btw that also worked about 1/4mile away)

I had decent factory alarms in my cars since then, so i never bothered putting it in any my other cars.

WOULD DEFINITELY BUY AGAIN.

Sucks, but an alarm isn't going to prevent someone from messing with your car in the future.

If, on the other hand, you want to know when someone is messing with it, I'd suggest an alarm with a responder so you can see/hear the alarm go off.

WOW someone just did it again today. about 12 inches right above the front wheel on the passenger side. WTF is going on? Do you think night cameras would work?

WTF......

You need to move or something. You need to make sure that you are filling police reports for this shit, just in case they catch the ****er.

I would look into a wifi camera and send that SOB to jail.

Pretty soon they will have to step up to the next level. You are going to run out of windows to bash and panels to scratch.

What make/model/year/condition are the other cars? Is your car modded?

Could be some jealous person or someone you pissed off and don't remember.

i just hope they don[']t brake anything, slash my tires. How can they brake when it's not moving? :D

Anywayz... sorry to hear of your recurrent misfortune. As already aforementioned, keep the local police/etc' in the loop (as-in police reports/records), let your local home-owner's association/board know about this, as well as neighbors & others. And, perhaps try to setup some recording-device and/or dummy-camera to act as a deterrent. Quite a few others have done exactly this, in regards to local hit-&-run drive-offs, vandalism, petty-theft, etc'. They've more often than not, actually captured the perpetrators in the act and used the evidence towards insurance claims and/or personal-damages formally levied against the other party.

Oh, and mebbe' an outdoor car-cover w/ a cable/lock might be the way to go to keep more damage from occurring.

G/luck. . .

you could get something like a panasonic BLC series network camera. Ive got one that is wireless (network wise) so you can set it up anywhere in the house. It will also snap pictures too. Also adding some motion sensitive lights to the house might be a good idea. Good luck.

I agree that people are pretty ****ed up these days. Yesterday I went out to wash the car before meeting up with the fam and found that someone had busted my window in and dug through my car but didn't get anything. :bawling:

My neighbor 2 doors down had come in from Iraq on a 2 week leave and bought a new mazda 6 and that got broken into as well parked at his wife's house. Neither car had anything taken out of it but they're both in the shop as I type this getting fixed...Thank god for comprehensive insurance coverage.

Messed up thing is that a neighbor up the street was woken up that night by a car idling out in the street and he claimed that when he looked out the window there was a car slowly driving down the street with 2 other guys walking outside of the car. For some reason the moron didn't think to call the cops or at least watch the @$$hole thugs to see what they were doing. So we have no idea who it might have been.

Oh and I forgot to mention that I am buying the Viper 5901 alarm system/remote start today and hope to have that installed by next week. At least if this happens again I'll be able to hear the alarm and also the transponder going crazy and might be able to get my hands on these punks.

WOW. Sorry to see that happen man. I know exactly how you feel, hope you get the stupid ****s. Well since it happened to me i installed the Viper alarm also. This is the one i have: http://www.viper.com/P-5301V/Viper+Responder+Sst+2-way+Security+%26+Remote+Start+System

So far it has worked fine.

Yeah it sucks man. That system is a good one. I had that on both my avalon and my camry but this time I went with the 5901.

http://www.viper.com/P-5702V/Viper+5901+Responder+Lc3+Supercode+Sst+2-way+Security+And+Remote+Start+System

I snagged it for 277 after shipping and am going to order the glass break sound sensor as well.

I've got a random question for you. The reason I didn't do the alarm system from the start was because I hated the thought of having a bulky alarm fob along with the bulky 7gen key on the same keychain. Have you found that to be too much of a nuisance? I'm going to wait until I get the system is and see just how bulky it is but I'm thinking about just buying a Honda blank, basic key and getting it programmed that way I don't have the extra key fob. What's your thoughts on this?
