Shinosis 10-28-2008, 01:29 PM dude thats insane...my oil life dropped to 15% around 5200 miles. Got it changed around 5300 miles. Mase764 10-28-2008, 01:31 PM alsmot at 4 thousand miles.. with 50 % nighthawkcoupe 10-28-2008, 01:31 PM Yea I have 4500 miles and I'm at 30% hondaracer4vtec 10-28-2008, 02:05 PM depends on your driving the system configures the % based on how you drive and revolutions the engine makes. If you drive highway you can get 5000 with 50% left. bukxanger 10-28-2008, 02:22 PM yep... mine was around 8500 before i got 15% due to mostly highway miles spikeitaudi 10-28-2008, 02:28 PM Yea I am 90 percent highway driving. eckseleven 10-28-2008, 03:08 PM I'm at 20% with about 8450 miles. WisAccord 10-30-2008, 02:21 PM Yea I am 90 percent highway driving. I have a similar situation. I dumped the factory fill at a little over 4k. Changed the oil again at around 10k. I put in synthetic and now just follow the MM. I usually go close to 10k whe the MM is at 15%. The oil analysis' on the last two changes have been fine. I wouldn't run regular old dino for 10k. If you are going to go that far choose a nice synthetic. treday630 10-30-2008, 11:29 PM One of things the Sales Rep told me about my car was that the it doesn't have a set mileage on when you get your oil change/service. He said it depends on how your drive your car. He said that one of the other sales reps who owns a honda only lives like 5 miles away from the dealership she never gets the maintenance minder and if that happens you have to at least service the car once a year. turBeau 11-13-2008, 06:42 AM Just changed my oil last night. 8,738 miles w/ 10% still showing on the MM. I had MC Semi-Syn 5w-20 and a M1 M-104 oil filter on it. Nothing but highway driving from Texas to Missouri and back. I put Pennzoil Platinum 5w-20 and a M1 M-104 oil filter back on. The M-104 is for the S2K's, but its bigger and offers a little more capacity. rszappa1 11-17-2008, 03:36 PM On my 07 I change my oil every 5,000 and on the mil it usually says 50 % tnel2005 11-17-2008, 03:40 PM i got my first oil change with the 15% light around 7500 miles TranceField 11-17-2008, 04:16 PM I have just hit 5k miles on my car and my oil life is at 40%... 80% of my miles are highway... Rubberman 01-21-2009, 07:19 AM 9000km and still @ 40%.Got the car in the first week in July and now it is almost February.Driving is about 50/50 city highway. STSinNYC 01-29-2009, 10:21 AM I go by the data from used oil analysis. In our 02 Accord V6, driving about 2/3 highway (trips of two hours or more), I could take Pennzoil dino or Pennzoil Platinum to around 6,000 miles before the acid fighting capabilities and key additives were close to depletion. In our 03 Accord I4, same driving habits, Pennzoil Platinum or Renewable Lubricants Bio-Syn can go to about 8-8,500 miles. We run 5W-20 and use the Amsoil EaO filter, two changes on the filter (15-16,000 miles). |
